Pocket squares have rocketed up in popularity over the past few years, and our customers have certainly taken notice. No longer just for the flamboyant dresser, pocket squares are catching on with the more conservative crowd who wish to add a little more stylish flair to their suit.
When it comes to choosing the right pocket square, there are no hard and fast rules. It’s best to choose something that compliments your shirt and tie, but does not match them exactly – a pocket square is an accent to your outfit, a small talking point, if you will. If you’re at a bit of a loss on which pocket square to choose, and you insist on a little matching, it’s better that your pocket square matches your shirt rather than your tie.
There are many ways in which a pocket square can be folded, pointed, flat, puffed…the list goes on. But more often than not, roughly stuffing it into the out-breast pocket with some fine-tuning for neatness usually does the trick. There’s no need to get too fancy, unless you want to.
At Zink & Sons, we stock a range of patterned and plain silk pockets squares by Hardy Aimes for $30 each. Check out our latest range by visiting us in-store today.
